The Learn To Play program is designed to introduce the game of ice hockey to beginning players in a fun environment with a progressive system geared at getting players ready to join league play.

Day/Time - 6-7pm on Tuesday evenings AND/OR 12-1pm Saturday afternoons

Ages 5-15 welcome! Ages 16 and up please go to Adult "D"evelopmental League
Cost - $80/4 classes OR $25/class walk-on
Prerequisite - Participant should have passed Basic 2 or Adult 2 in the Learn To Skate Program, OR have mastered forward and backward skating and gliding and be able to stop on their own.
Equipment Needed: elbow pads, knee pads, helmet, hockey gloves, and a hockey stick.
*Skate rental is available at no charge for any player needing skates. Loaner equipment may be available - contact the rink prior to your first class to reserve equipment.
*Brand New Players may be eligible to earn one STAR of gear per month. A limited amount of gear will be available first-come, first-served for brand new players and is not guaranteed. Only brand new players to the game who have not received gear from previous CIZ Star programs, First Goal programs, or equivalent programs from other communities are eligible to earn gear. This program is to introduce and encourage players who do not have gear and have never played hockey to the sport and to be properly protected. Players must register at https://membership.usahockey.com/ and include number below to be eligible for gear.
*1st Star – helmet, jersey, stick
2nd Star – hockey gloves, shin pads
3rd Star – hockey pants, elbow pads
4th Star – shoulder pads
